Facebook introduces a new way to curb the spread of misinformation

Will affect users who continuously share posts flagged as false by the fact-checking team

In the news feed, Facebook will reduce the distribution of posts from such accounts

The user will be notified before viewing a wrong content

Also, the user will be alerted before entering a page that is rated for spreading misinformation

The fact-checking person will give more details regarding the false information on the page

Facebook and Instagram now allow users to hide public likes
