India approves first covid vaccine for children above 12
Zydus Cadila’s three-dose COVID-19 DNA vaccine has got the emergency approval
It can be used for adults and children aged 12 years and above
It is the second home-grown shot to get emergency authorisation
The company plans to manufacture 100 to 120 mn doses of ZyCoV-D annually
ZyCoV-D is the world’s first plasmid DNA vaccine against coronavirus.
The generic drugmaker had applied for the authorisation of ZyCoV-D on July 1
