Artificial Intelligence is building its own way into advanced technologies. AI has become an integral part of various organizations. AI comes to assistance at instances where there is a requirement of simplified operations. AI will be much help in prison management, which requires rigorous and constant vigilance. Taking a leaf out of the book, Government of Uttar Pradesh has collaborated with Gurugram-based Staqu to introduce an AI-enabled analytics platform, JARVIS. JARVIS is a first of its kind technology which aims to bring order across prison facilities in the state by easing prison activities.
The AI-powered video analytics is now live with 700 cameras from 70 prisons for multi-purpose analytics. JARVIS works as a combination of object recognition and object finder through frisking, unauthorized access, crowd analysis, violence, FR, camera working, and intrusion detection among others. The platform will provide actionable insights to police after analyzing the footage.
Staqu, the AI & facial recognition startup, was founded in 2015. Till now, it has helped solve over 1,100 cases. The startup is currently working with eight state and UT police forces in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand and Telangana. Staqu has raised $650,000 from India Angel Network. Staqu is further working to unveil JARVIS for other security applications.
