Google launches ‘Read along’ app to enhance reading habit among children. The app is based on Google’s existing ‘Bolo’ app launched in India last year. Read along app is available in nine languages including English and Hindi. The app has in-built reading assistant Diya who recognises reading struggles. Read Along, which can function offline, offers 500 stories in its catalog.
Reliance Jio sells 2.23% stake to Vista Equity for Rs 11,637 Cr. This is the 3rd major equity deal for Jio Platforms in three weeks . U.S-based Vista Equity is a private equity firm. Jio has raised Rs 60,596 Cr from leading tech investors in less than 3 weeks. Recently, Facebook and Silver Lake had acquired 9.9% and 1.5% stake respectively.

IIT Delhi startup develops reusable antimicrobial mask called NSafe. The startup named Nanosafe Solutions is behind the Nsafe mask. The triple-layered mask is capable of mechanical filtration, antimicrobial decontamination and repulsion of aerosol droplets. NSafe mask has 99.2% bacterial filtration efficiency. The mask is comfortable and breathable & can be used up to 50 launderings. Nanosafe Solutions plans to launch the mask at MRP of Rs299 (Pack of 2) & Rs 589 (Pack of 4).

Rapido launches on-demand P2P delivery service Rapido Box. Bengaluru-based Rapido is an e-mobility startup. Customers can pick or drop food, groceries and medicine via Rapido Box. The service is to ensure that people never run out of essentials. Base price of the new service will be Rs 35 for 2 km and Rs 15 per kilometre after 2 km.
