World Bank allots $1 Bn to help India fight COVID-19. In a bid to support ‘India’s COVID-19 Social Protection Response Program’. $550 Mn from the fund will be financed by a credit from the International Development Association. Total commitment by World Bank for India’s COVID response stands at $2 Bn. Last month, World Bank announced $1 Bn to support India’s healthcare sector.
