Startup Starya Mobility has come up with an innovative conversion kit for scooters
They claim it as India’s first electric propulsion kit for scooters
It will receive initial funding of Rs 2.1 crore to start the kits’ production
It claims to convert gearless petrol-powered scooters into fully electric units
It can do the conversion around half the cost of a new electric scooter
The kit, including the battery, is available at Rs 39,000
It includes a 6.0 KW PMSM motor connected to a 250A controller
The battery will be given as a service
The team took two years to develop the kit
