Maruti Suzuki will recall some petrol variants of Ciaz, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and XL6
This is to inspect a possible defect in 181,754 units of these models
The units were manufactured between 4th Many 2020 and 27th October 2020
This is a global campaign to rectify the possible safety defect
The replacement of the affected part will begin in the first week of November 2021
Till then, customers are requested not to drive in waterlogged areas
They should also avoid spraying water directly on electrical/electronic parts
Customers of the suspected vehicles will be assisted at the ‘Imp Customer Info’ section on the company website
Fill in the chassis number of the vehicle to check whether the vehicle needs attention
The number is embossed on the vehicle’s ID plate
It can also be seen on the invoice/registration document
