Zomato, BioD join hands Online food delivery platform Zomato and bio diesel manufacturer BioD Energy have inked a partnership to produce biodiesel from used cooking oil (UCO). Through the partnership, Zomato and BioD aim at producing biodiesel from used cooking oil collected from restaurants in India. They plan to collect around 1000 tones of UCO from more than 1000 kitchens a month. The produced biodiesel will be then sold to oil manufacturing companies which will blend it with normal diesel.
