CarDekho to raise $100 Mn funding from China’s Autohome Inc. CarDekho will reach $700 Mn valuation through the funding. Jaipur based CarDekho is an online car marketplace. Existing investor Sequoia Capital may participate in the funding round. CarDekho sells fresh and second hand cars on its platform.

Karnataka govt launches E-Step training program for student entrepreneurs. The program is part of Karnataka Innovation & Technology Society. E-Step focuses on bootcamps, mentoring & training programs in entrepreneurship. Incubation centers in Karnataka will launch day-long bootcamps as part of E-Step. About 2,500 students have registered for E-Step so far.

India joins G20 Global Smart Cities Alliance. The alliance works towards responsible use of smart city technologies. It will create global norms for the use of connected devices in public spaces. It will help in decreasing traffic congestion, crime & greenhouse emissions. The Alliance comprises 15 of the world’s leading city networks. The first policy design workshop will be held in November 2019 in Spain.
