Tech Mahindra partners with Mahindra Logistics to deploy EVs for employee transportation. The motive is to attain sustainable mobility through electric vehicles. Mumbai-based Mahindra Logistics is an integrated third-party logistics solutions provider. Mahindra Logistics will deploy E-Verito at Tech Mahindra’s Hyderabad campus. The decision comes as part of Mahindra Logistics’ Go-Green initiative.

Bengaluru-based fintech firm Zeta jumps to $300 Mn valuation with new investment. France-based Sodexo Benefits and Rewards invested undisclosed amount in Zeta. Apart from investment, Sodexo also acquires a minority stake in the company. Zeta offers employee expense management, corporate gifting & co-branded debit & credit cards. Zeta partners with banks including RBL Bank, IDFC First Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and more.

PayPal proposes data localisation in India, sets up global technology center in Hyderabad. PayPal, a US-based digital payments firm, is currently working on the proposal with partners. The initiative was mandated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). RBI had directed payment firms to ensure that data was stored exclusively on local servers. PayPal currently has about 3,500 employees in its three tech centres in India.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) becomes the highest-ranked Indian company in Fortune Global 500 list. Previously, the list was topped by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). Reliance Industries is ranked 106 and IOC at 117 in the 2019 list. Reliance Industries’ revenue shot from $62.3 Bn to $82.3 Bn in 2019. Besides RIL & IOC, SBI, Tata Motors, Bharat Petroleum and ONGC feature in the list.
