Banned app ShareIt reportedly has serious security flaws
Cybersecurity firm Trend Micro says the app had vulnerabilities which could risk sensitive data of users
Arbitrary codes could also be executed with the app’s permission
ShareIt was originally developed by Lenovo and later spun off into a separate company
The app required users to grant access to all storage and media
Trend Micro report says private storage of ShareIt is open to the world
ShareIt was one of the banned Chinese apps in India in 2020
