Private rocket launch startup Rocket Lab successfully launches ‘Make It Rain’ mission. 7 small satellites were deployed aboard Electron rocket as part of the mission. The mission was launched from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1, New Zealand. The Electron rocket carries both commercial and military satellites. Launch was supervised by Spaceflight, a satellite rideshare & mission management provider.

Rocket Labന്റെ വിജയകരമായ ഏഴാമത്തെ ലോഞ്ചാണിത്. എഞ്ചിനീയറായ Peter Beck ആണ് Rocket Labന്റെ സ്ഥാപകന്‍.

Online market network Wizcounsel receives Rs 1 Cr investment from cricketer Kapil Dev & others. Wizcounsel helps small businesses hire & manage freelance legal, tax & accounting experts. Sunil Gupta, founder, SARC associates and Manas Fuloria, founder, Nagarro, took part in funding. The funds will be utilized for marketing, sales and to strengthen operations. Delhi-based Wizcounsel has over 100 professionals across different cities. The company has generated a total transaction value of Rs 3 Lakh .

NASA plans to send drone copter to Saturn’s moon Titan. The mission titled Dragonfly will launch in 2026 aiming a 2034 landing. Drone copters will be sent to dozens of locations in the planet to search for life. The drone copters will land at the equatorial ‘Shangri-La’ dune. Titan is the only celestial body apart from Earth having liquid rivers & lakes on the surface. Titan is the second largest moon in the solar system.
Akshay Kumar invests in fitness startup GOQii. The actor also joined as the company’s board as a strategic advisor. GOQii is a smart wearable band that helps people track their daily activities & more. Mumbai-based GOQii has raised $ 30 Mn from existing investor, Mitsui & Co. The firm which has a user base of 2.7 Mn aims to achieve 10 Mn users by FY20.

Indian hospitality company OYO ties up with Chinese E-commerce platform Meituan. 8,000 OYO accommodations in China will be listed on Meituan Hotels platform as part of tie-up. The tie-up is aimed at driving consumer traffic, data operations & brand promotions. Meituan Hotels offers high-end, affordable stays & family-run boutique hotels for housing. OYO’s China arm, OYO Jiudian, is present across 337 cities in the country.
